Nikolai Topor-Stanley deserves a longer contract with Sydney FC. Did you know that if there was a Golden Boot award for the Young Socceroo who scored the most goals last year, then it would have to go to Nikolai who, as a DEFENDER, slotted home two "spectacular" goals - one in the Busan Cup, South Korea against the host nation, and the other in the Spring Tournament this year against Uzbekistan in Vietnam.
Give young Nik Topor-Stanley more recognition than a short-term A-League contract! Look at his credits when he's given a chance to play. As an international defender (Sth Korea and Vietnam) he was the only one to score -two fantastic goals at that--while the strikers couldn't find the back of the net. Give this fine up-and-coming young player a fair go. Give him some more room to show what a valuable, consistent player he really is and can be.
Onya, Nikolai! You showed them your stuff in your home town, Canberra. Well done, laddie.
After Nikolai Topor-Stanley's exciting impact on the recent Canberra game--scoring in the 3rd minute before a home crowd--Terry Butcher would do well to use our local lad more often. Canberra's proud of you, Nik!
